The psychotherapist Alfred Adler said: “The chief danger in life is that you may take too many precautions.” Pope Francis said: “I prefer a thousand times over a Church of accidents than a sick Church.” And Jesus challenged: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross.” These are calls for risk-taking, for experiences of Church that are bold, daring, demanding, surprising, delightful and ultimately reckless.
